Alex Pico Design Principal

As Design Principal, Alex leads Acumenium’s entire creative process.

European. Alex’s multi-disciplinary career spans 15 years in Brand Design, Digital Strategy, User Experience, Product User Interface, Photography, Typography, Art Direction and Visual Design.

Driven by curiosity and a passion for meaningful work, Alex inspires strategic thinking with the user need in mind, crafting bespoke design systems for brand platforms, creating focused storytelling for digital marketing campaigns, and innovating digital product concepts for global brands.

Alex’s vision for digital marketing and communications has won accolades and awards for brands such as Adidas, Apple, British Airways, Brooks Brothers, Canon, Disney, Elie Tahari, GE, Infiniti, LEGO, Lexus, Nike, Marc Jacobs, Mercedes-Benz, Moleskine, Starbucks, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Travelers, among others.

Ed Holmes Managing Principal

As Managing Principal, Ed oversees Acumenium’s daily operations, creates budgets, supervises schedules, and maintains close relationship with clients to foster their part of the collaboration. As a co-creative, Ed assists his team to help generate ideas and keep the creative effort on budget, on schedule, and on brand.

With 25 years in the creative industry, Ed’s career began as a graphic designer working in corporate identity and brand communications. Moving to Europe and the fashion industry, Ed worked closely with photographers and directors, first as a model then as a producer of photography and film.

His years in production honed an already keen visual eye adding knowledge of camera, lighting and location, while further developing strong organizational skills. Working abroad, Ed managed campaigns for Anthropologie, B&B Italia, Coca-Cola, Jaguar, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche Design, Siemens, Vanity Fair Italia, Vogue UK, and W Magazine among others.  

In all, Ed directs Acumenium’s focus with creative perspective and efficient directives.
